MJA's managing director, Kris Gale, was quoted on page 12 of today's Australian Financial Review. In an article entitled "Industry Edgy on R&D changes", the relevant section says:
Kris Gale, managing director of Michael Johnson Associates, said so far government had not included companies sufficiently in the consultation process.
"All the relevant parties - government, industry and advisers - need to agreee to the administration of the program," he said.
The process also needed fast-tracking. "At present assessments of claims can take years," Mr Gale said.
"We need to come to a time limit, so there is certainty in the program."
Kris's latest article, encouraging participation in a program of consultation for the R&D tax credit is available on the MJA Website.
